Happy 2018 from Westside Nanny!
Hello dear friends,
It's hard to believe that another year is coming to an end and we're heading into 2018 already. Time has always had a way of moving quickly in my life, but ever since having kiddos it flies by at warp speed!
With every new year celebration, it's been my own personal tradition to bake up something warm and delicious and find a quiet space to cozy up, reflect on the last 12 months, and set my intentions for the coming year. I used to always do this on New Year's Eve, but right at this moment I've got two napping kids and a #cleanish house so hey I'm taking advantage. No time like the present!
This year was a big one. We watched our new baby grow into a big, bouncy 1-year-old, our oldest embrace big-sisterhood and start preschool, and our marriage stretch and grow and strengthen. We lost a beloved family pet, and welcomed a new one. We did lots of traveling and made memories in special places near and far. We snuggled our kiddos, made forts, took nature walks, read bedtime stories, baked cookies, camped at the lake, made messes, and ate picnic dinners on our living room floor. We celebrated birthdays, new babies, weddings, family milestones and average Tuesdays with our favorite people and I can't wait to do it all again next year!
I'm grateful for another successful year of Westside Nanny and for all of the fantastic people it's brought into my village. Being a work-from-home mom can be crazy, challenging, and isolating and being able to connect with such wonderful clients and nannies (some of whom have become dear friends!) is a big part of the reason why I do what I do. Thank you all for the trust you've placed in me this year and for your continued support of a local small business!
Looking forward to 2018, I am excited to share that I am finally moving forward on a big goal I'd set for Westside Nanny from the very start; a blog! My intention is to post twice-monthly with new content centered around all things "nanny"; Westside Nanny featured caregivers, community events, kid-friendly craft and recipe ideas, tips and tricks for nannies and employers alike, parenthood and more. I hope you'll visit often and like what you see! I look forward to incorporating ideas from our community as well, so please don't hesitate to reach out with feedback if you have a great idea for a feature!
Here's to another year of health and happiness! I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for us all. Thanks for being part of the village! :)
Happy new year!
